MarineGuard Deck Sensors
MarineGuard's boat alarm systems offer fast, effective intruder detection.

MarineGuard's boat alarms are built with two objectives in mind.  First, we want our MarineGuard security systems to provide exceptional intruder detection that can be depended on for years.  Second, we design our boat alarm systems so that they can be easily turned on and off by family member without compromising security.

Simple to Operate

Our systems couldn't be easier to use.  A water-resistant key FOB is included with each system.  As you exit the boat, you simply  push a button on the key FOB to activate the system.  You deactivate the system in a similar way as you approach your boat just like you unlock your car.   As an added benefit, your boat alarm can be set up so that your boat's lights will turn on when the alarm system is deactivated.

The advantages -- there are no key pads to manage and no passwords to remember.  You will not accidentally trip the alarm by having too much time elapse between the time you step on your boat and the moment you punch a password into a key pad.

Why Choose a MarineGuard Boat Alarm

Our boat alarms are designed for outdoor applications.   They are not retrofitted residential security systems or car alarms.  We hand-coat all components in the control panel with humiseal so it is protected from the sun, weather, and water spray.  All wire is marine-grade.  Not only do these steps protect MarineGuard alarm systems from  early corrosion and environmental damage, it also minimized the impact of rough seas and the natural rocking of the boat.

Additional benefits to you:

  • Alarm system is virtually false-alarm free when installed according to our directions;
  • Alarm system triggers almost immediately when an intruder boards the boat  -- 15 seconds for The Protector (MG01C and MG02C) and no delay for The Protector Deluxe (MG54C and MG58C);
  • Alarm system is invisible when Deck Sensors are installed;
  •  Boat alarm includes a siren, which is proven to deter thieves and vandals;
  • System includes phone and email support for system planning and installation;
  • For additional security, lights can be wired into system and flash when boat alarm is triggered (also proven as an effective deterent to theft);
  • Additional security components can be added to the system, such as high water notification and hatch protection;
  • MarineGuard's boat alarms work on boats of all sizes and compositions;
  • System comes with a 1-year warranty;
  • Security reporting and GPS tracking can be added to the system (satellite and cellular options available).

MG54C

The Protector Deluxe (MG54C & MG58C)

  • System includes 3 security zones.  This allows you to install Deck Sensors plus other security components, such as hatch contacts, a high water sensor (bilge sensor), and a chime.  When you subscribe to a MarineGuard reporting/tracking service, you will receive a report on the status of each security zone.  This provide important information about what is happening on the boat.  For example, is the issue an intruder or a high water problem?
  •  You can install up to 4 Deck Sensors with the MG54C and up to 8 sensors with the MG58C.  Deck Sensors are invisible stress detectors that mount under the boat's decking.   Highly reliable, these sensors quickly detect an intruder as the thief's weight creates a small flex in the decking material.  Highly durable and reliable.
  • The system includes a siren and lighting alerts.  When the alarm is triggered, the siren sounds and the boat's lights flash.  The more attention you can draw to your boat, the more effective the protection from your system will be.
  • The system has the ability to add high water sensors.  These sensors protect against water damage and/or sinking.
  • You can add chime annunciation.  The chime acts as a doorbell and can be engaged while you are on your boat.   Announces guests when you are below deck.
  • Ability to add wireless security components.
  • The boat alarm does not require shore power.  The security system runs off of the boat's battery.   The boat alarm draws nominal current.  This feature allows you to turn the alarm off while your boat is moored away from shore or while it is trailered.
